AFTER yesterday’s table-flipping chaos at the press conference, today’s weigh-in for ‘Heavy Impact’ unfolded in a far more civil manner.
Joe Joyce and Filip Hrgovic may headline the card, but the spotlight was on British heavyweight title challengers David Adeleye and Jeamie Tshikeva. It was Tshikeva who sent a table soaring yesterday amid heated verbal sparring with Adeleye, though today’s face-off remained respectful – despite a reported backstage clash between their teams. During the broadcast host Ade Oladipo said it was all “kicking off” while he was trying to focus on the weigh-in.
Speaking to weigh-in interviewer Dev Sahni, Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva vowed to deliver a ‘TKO,’ while Adeleye, staring daggers, promised a ‘knockout.’ The action hits Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena tomorrow, live on DAZN.
