Pound for pound

Manny Pacquiao – formerly No 1 – reenters the rankings after resuming his glittering career with a comfortable win over welterweight champion Jessie Vargas. The Filipino icon comes in at No 2 due to his phenomenal body of work, with Roman Gonzalez still on the top spot. Vasyl Lomachenko, formerly at No 10, leaves the rankings.

Welterweight

Pacquiao reclaims his place at No 1. Having twice beaten former division leader Tim Bradley, and picking up the WBO title by beating No 6 Jessie Vargas, Manny has proven beyond doubt that he is the world’s best active welterweight.

Featherweight

Oscar Valdez holds on to his No 7 spot by beating unranked Hiroshiwe Osawa in defence of his WBO world title on the Pacquiao undercard.

Super-bantamweight

Jessie Magdaleno enters the rankings at No 3 after outpointing Nonito Donaire for the WBO title. Donaire, previously at No 3, moves down a place.

Bantamweight

Zhanat Zhakiyanov (No 8) is removed for inactivity. Luis Nery comes in at No 10.

Flyweight

Daigo Higa remains at No 9 with a win over unranked Felipe Cagubcob Jnr.
