Rankings update: Hekkie Budler loses his top spot after upset loss

Cruiserweight

No 6 ranked Ola Afolabi announced his retirement last week, so he leaves the rankings. Former WBC world champion Krzystof Wlodarczyk jumps straight into the vacant spot, which he used to hold himself before inactivity saw him leave the rankings. He ended that hiatus with a two-round blowout of Valery Brudov earlier this month.

Flyweight

Nawaphon Por Chokchai, ranked 10th, knocked out unranked Geboi Mansalayao in four rounds on Friday [March 18] and moved to 33-0.

Strawweight

Division leader Hekkie Budler lost his WBA world title and top spot to previously No 10 ranked Byron Rojas. The Nicaraguan was able to outwork Budler over 12 rounds and earn a unanimous decision. Rojas jumps from 10th straight in to No 1, forcing everyone else to move down a place.
