Panel: Who is the biggest pound-for-pound puncher in the sport today?

Linus Udofia (Middleweight contender)

Naoya Inoue, for sure. For his size he is without doubt the hardest puncher in boxing at the moment. He is also, in my opinion, the most complete boxer. To have any chance of beating him you would have to stay on the outside and fight like Guillermo Rigondeaux: just two or three punches at a time and don’t get involved. You would need to use a lot of footwork.

Tunde Ajayi (Coach)

It is a mythical question that can never be fully justified. Mike Tyson, for example, was once named the hardest puncher in boxing yet he couldn’t make a dent in “Buster” Douglas, Evander Holyfield or Lennox Lewis. Power is generated by your commitment to the punch and, because this is a mythical question, Anthony Yarde would be my answer.

Denzel Bentley (British Middleweight champion)

Deontay Wilder is easily the hardest pound-for-pound puncher out there today. He may even be the hardest pound-for-pound puncher ever. His power is just indescribable.

John Fewkes (Coach)

I think the hardest puncher out there today has to be Deontay Wilder. His power is just frightening. Yes, he lacks a little technically, but even the shots that don’t look like they should be thrown are knocking people out. He’s also still a small heavyweight when compared to today’s crop.
