Over 80 per cent tip Anthony Joshua to stop Daniel Dubois

Over 80 per cent tip Anthony Joshua to stop Daniel Dubois
Joshua flattened Robert Helenius in 2023. Will he do the same to Daniel Dubois?

IT WOULD take a brave person to bet on Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois going the distance on Saturday night at Wembley Stadium.

The two British heavyweights have 54 fights between them with 45 opponents not hearing the final bell. Joshua’s KO percentage sits at 89 but it’s a whopping 95 per cent for Dubois.

In December last year Dubois was taken the scheduled 10-rounds by American loudmouth Jarrell Miller but you then have to go back to October 2018 for the last time Dubois didn’t win inside the distance. That night Kevin Johnson did what he does best and survived.

In his last three fights Joshua has shown glimpses of the old, spiteful ‘AJ’ that didn’t play with his food. Prior to that, however, he went the 12-round distance in three consecutive fights. Whichever way you look at the stats it’s hard to make a case for the Wembley Stadium main event lasting the full 36 minutes.

At time of writing (Monday, September 16) 81.97 per cent of Boxing News app users believe Joshua will win by KO or TKO.
