Naoya Inoue vs Ramon Cardenas Weigh-In

NAOYA Inoue and Ramon Cardenas could barely be split at the weigh-in for their multi-belt clash in the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday. The undefeated, undisputed super-bantamweight king and four-weight world champion weighed in at 121.9lbs, while his opponent came in slightly below at 121.8lbs.

Inoue, 32, currently boasts a flawless 29-0 (26 KOs) record and can barely remember coming in for a fight where a world title wasn’t on the line. Cardenas, 29, is 26-1 (14 KOs) and challenging for his first world belt.

Admitting that the event felt very different from his previous visits to Las Vegas, Inoue is revelling in the Cinco de Mayo experience. However, he remains the epitome of a man who likes to do his talking in the ring, giving little away at the post-weight table talk.

“Basically, I just want to get stronger, that’s the feeling I have,” he replied to former two-time victim Nonito Donaire, who had joined the punditry squad.

“As my final target, I think featherweight is where I want my final challenge.”
