Moses Itauma looks to be set for a return to action this summer.

Itauma is arguably the biggest rising star in all of boxing, having put together an unbeaten record of 14-0 to date, 12 of those wins coming by knockout.

He has beaten the likes of Dillian Whyte, Demsey McKean and Mariusz Wach, but the most impressive of all his victories possibly came last time out, when he did what neither Whyte or Anthony Joshua managed by knocking out Jermaine Franklin in the fifth round.

That bout at the Co-Op Live in Manchester served as Itauma’s first main event, and he is set to continue his headline status after details surrounding his next outing were revealed by Ariel Helwani.

Breaking:

Heavyweight rising star Moses Itauma is set to headline the O2 Arena in London on July 25, per sources.

Opponent is still TBD, but sources tell @uncrownedcombat it is expected to be another step up for the 21 year old.

This will mark the first time Itauma headlines…

The O2 Arena has played host to a number of major heavyweight fights over the years, the most recent of those coming earlier this month when Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora collided, and now Itauma is set to continue that tradition when he returns in July.

While no opponent has been confirmed yet, another step up in competition means it is likely the 21-year-old will be taking on a highly-ranked contender, though the man he wanted to face, Filip Hrgovic, won’t be available following a fight in May.
