MOSES Itauma and Dillian Whyte both looked in fine shape as they took to the scales in anticipation of a feisty heavyweight encounter of 10 rounds or less tomorrow evening. Arriving at a trim 244.1lbs, Whyte will be out to snatch a prime body in the form of Itauma, many people’s pick to hit the heights sooner rather than later.
Weighing in around 235 pounds, Itauma outlined his 12 tough weeks of training as a reason to be cheerful. “I have the utmost respect for Dillian, this ain’t personal, it’s business,” he reiterated. This new slimline, chilled-out version of Dillian Whyte will need to be switched on if he is to cause an upset.
Defending WBA featherweight champion Nick Ball promised all-action ahead of an Aussie test. Ball is the UK’s only remaining male world champion. Sam Goodman, meanwhile, reckons that if he executes everything he has in the locker, Nick Ball is in for a few surprises.
There was little between Filip Hrgovic and David Adeleye in weight, but much more in experience as the DAZN crew rightly pointed out. Looking mean and lean, Hrgovic said he was ready to get down to business. Adeleye declared that he would leave it all in the ring as he moves up to world-class for the first time.
Raymond Ford tried to psyche out Abraham Nova, but the grinning Puerto Rican admitted that he wasn’t even paying attention, opting to focus his attention on fight night. The winner will have an eye on IBF champion Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez.
