Mikey Garcia vs Robert Easter fight time and where to watch it

Mikey Garcia and Robert Easter Jnr compete in a lightweight world title unification this Saturday (July 28) at Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, USA live on Showtime Sports in the US.

Here is all you need to know about Saturday nights event:

Rounds scheduled

12 three-minute rounds in the lightweight division.

TV Coverage

The fight will be shown live on Showtime Sports at 10 p.m. ET in the US and the fight will be shown on in Panama RPC Channel 4 will televise the event. No UK broadcaster has been announced.

Fight card – The rundown

Mikey Garcia vs Robert Easter Jnr – WBC and IBF lightweight world titles

Garcia (38-0, 30 KO’s) looks to become a unified world champion for the first time, despite already being a four-weight world champion. Garcia last competed in March defeating Sergey Lipinets for the IBF super-lightweight world title but vacated the belt in order to face IBF 135 lbs champ Easter Jnr (21-0, 14 KO’s). Easter Jnr won the title in September 2016 beating Richard Commey and has since made three successful defences.

Luis Ortiz vs Razvan Cojanu – Heavyweight

Ortiz (28-1, 24 KO’s) takes to the ring for the first time since his March defeat against Deontay Wilder, who stopped the Cuban in 10 rounds successfully defending his WBC world title. Ortiz came close to a seventh round stoppage of Wilder, before ultimately being halted three rounds later. His comeback opponent Cojanu (16-3, 9 KO’s) is a former WBO world title challenger, having lost to then champion Joseph Parker in May 2015.

Fabian Andres Maidana vs Andrey Klimov – Welterweight

The younger brother of former two-weight world champion Marcos Maidana, Fabian Andres (15-0, 11 KO’s), looks to continue his undefeated run since turning professional in 2014 as he takes on Klimov (20-4, 10 KO’s), an experienced boxer who has shared the ring with Liam Walsh, Jose Pedraza, and Terence Crawford.

Mario Barrios vs Jose Roman – Super-lightweight

Barrios (21-0, 13 KO’s) takes on Roman (24-2-1, 16 KO’s) who lost in his last outing against Wilberth Lopez (18-9, 15 KO’s) in September 2017.
