AHEAD of their clash for the vacant WBO title at the StubHub Center in Carson, California on Saturday night (August 26), Puerto Rican icon Miguel Cotto and Japanese warrior Yoshihiro Kamegai both came in under the super-welterweight limit of 154lbs at the official weigh-in.

Former four-weight world champion Miguel Cotto – who has said that he will only have one more fight after this bout – scaled 153.6lbs, while the all-action Kamegai weighed in slightly heavier at 153.8lbs.

Mexico’s Rey Vargas and Californian Ronny Rios – who face off in the co-feature for the former’s WBC super-bantamweight belt – both made weight also. Vargas hit the scales at 121.6lbs, while Rios was right on the division limit of 122lbs.
