When and why you started boxing:
I was nine years old. My dad [John Frankham] used to help out at Pinewood Starr ABC, so I started there.

Favourite all-time fighter:
The two Sugar Rays – Leonard and Robinson. Also, Floyd Mayweather because he’s done what every fighter wants to do.

Best fight you’ve seen:
The Marco Antonio Barrera-Erik Morales fights. All three of them were great.

Personal career highlight:
Probably winning a gold medal at the [2015] European Junior Championships as an amateur.

Toughest opponent:
Levi Coats from Repton [Boxing Club]. We’re both from travelling families and we’d both won everything, so people from all over the place turned up to watch us fight. There were over 1,500 people packed into this small venue, so the pressure on both of us was unbelievable.

Best and worst attributes as a boxer:
I’d like to think I’m a slick boxer, but I’ll have a tear-up as well if needed.

Training tip:
If you do something, do it with meaning. Don’t do anything half-hearted.

Favourite meal/restaurant:
Pie and mash is my favourite meal. My favourite restaurant is my mum’s kitchen. She’s a good cook.

Best friends in boxing:
I get on really well with everyone and have loads of good mates in the sport.

Other sportsman you would like to be:
Cristiano Ronaldo – good looks and loads of cash!

Last film/TV show you saw:
I watched Top Boy recently. It’s a good programme.

Who would play you in a film of your life:
I’d choose a young Tom Hardy.

Have you ever been starstruck:
I was starstruck when I met Floyd Mayweather. It was an unbelievable experience because he spoke to me for ages.

Last time you cried:
At my best mate’s funeral earlier this year.

Best advice received:
Don’t eat yellow snow!

Worst rumour about yourself:
It’s not printable!

Something not many people know about you:
I’ve helped out with a few charities.
