Manny Pacquiao’s mission against Floyd Mayweather

MANNY PACQUIAO is on a mission. He fights Floyd Mayweather on May 2. It will surely be boxing’s most lucrative fight so far. Both men stand to gain fortunes and the winner will be considered the best fighter in the world today bar none. But Pacquiao, a man of faith, who has a whole country willing him on, wants to prove something more.

“The most important thing is the name of the Lord and the name of the Lord will be glorified. I want to let the people know that there is God who can raise someone from nothing into something. That’s me, that’s me, I came from nothing into something,” Pacquiao said at Wednesday’s press conference. “I owe everything to God. He gave me this blessing to it’s all praise to the Lord.”

He added a special note of praise to his countrymen and his immediate team. “Thank you to all the fans and especially the Filipino people who are always supporting me,” Manny continued. “They’re watching now live on TV, some of them are here and I would like to thank Freddie Roach for being very nice to us, Team Pacquiao, being nice to me and Bob Arum. We have loyalty to each other because we’ve been working together since 2001 until now, 2015.”
