AFTER praising Martinez, Santa Cruz talked of his future possibilities, but one prospective opponent stood out among the rest. “I want [Carl] Frampton,” Santa Cruz declared. “He said he wants to move up in weight.” Paulie Malignaggi, commentating on Santa Cruz-Martinez for Showtime, offered an early prediction if Leo was to box Frampton: “Frampton is a good fighter, but seems to fade late. That’d be dangerous against Santa Cruz, who pours it on. I’d favour Santa Cruz based on what I’ve seen recently.”
