LEE EATON has offered to trade places with Anthony Joshua, not in a sporting sense, of course, but instead with regards to Boxing News’ 2025 Power List.
The manager and matchmaker came in at number 30, while Joshua’s entry at 49, on the other hand, made for a fiercely contentious discussion point.
But regardless of the list, Eaton has proven to be a vital component at Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, where he has now firmly made his mark as the outfit’s Head of Boxing.
That new chapter in his storied career was ignited at the beginning of this year, allowing him to extend his influence even further across the boxing landscape.
But still, Eaton continues to look after a stable of his own fighters at Let’s Go Management, which came to prominence shortly after the closure of MTK Global in 2022.
For all of his success in the sport, though, Eaton chooses to view his Power List rating through a relatively modest lens.
“Listen, it is what it is – I don’t take much notice of it,” he told Boxing News.
“It’s nice to be thought of like that, but all I do is get up in the morning, go to work, and do what I’ve got to do.
“I’ll even trade places with ‘AJ’, if he wants. I’m not that bothered.”
Having climbed further up the boxing industry’s ladder, especially in recent years, Eaton can now look back on his rise with a feeling of pride.
“It was around 12 years ago that I did my first unlicensed boxing show, so I’ve started from the bottom and, now, I feel like I’m in the best possible position,” he continued.
“I’m Head of Boxing at Queensberry Promotions, which I think is the best promotional outfit in world boxing at the minute.
“It’s been a hard few years, but I had a good apprenticeship before starting Let’s Go Management and doing matchmaking for Queensberry.
“To have gone from where I was 12 years ago, to where I am now, I’m very proud. It’s been a lot of hard work, dedication and ups and downs.”
