Keyshawn Davis vows to knock out Denys Berinchyk after chaotic weigh-in

AFTER yesterday’s events at their final press conference it was perhaps no surprise that something was going to happen between Denys Berinchyk and Keyshawn Davis at today’s weigh-in.

Davis confronted the WBO lightweight champion yesterday accusing Team Berinchyk of sending a box containing bananas and watermelons to his hotel room. Davis believed this to be an act of racism but the Ukrainian boxer and his promoter Alex Krassyuk both denied their involvement.

After the two men made weight for tomorrow night’s clash at the Madison Square Garden Theatre Berinchyk gave Davis a push which caused the American to briefly step off stage. The challenger then went hunting for his rival incensed by what had just happened.

“He’s getting knocked out in the first round tomorrow,” Davis told Crystina Poncher afterwards.
