JOSHUA Buatsi returns to the ring on November 1 in Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena when he faces Zach Parker. This is the first fight for Buatsi under the Frank Warren Queensberry Promotions banner.
Last seen out in Riyadh losing for the first time in his career, on points to Callum Smith, the light-heavyweight contender will be hoping for a fresh boost to a potentially flagging career.
Joining Buatsi will be another new Queensberry signing, Bradley Rea, who won the European title on a GBM show against Shakan Pitters recently. Rea’s luck has seemingly turned as Frank Warren snatched his signature soon after.
Rea will meet Lyndon Arthur, who has mixed with the likes of Anthony Yarde and Dmitry Bivol across his productive career and brings a wealth of experience to the Manchester ring.
It will be an evening of light-heavyweight entertainment as Daniel Lapin features in a trio of 175-pound clashes. Ukrainian prospect Lapin defeated Lewis Edmondson on the Usyk-Dubois 2 undercard and gets another run out here when he meets Birmingham’s Troy Jones.
Currently 12-1, Jones’ sole defeat came to Ezra Taylor when the West Midlands hardman showed his mettle and his worth over 10 rounds. Troy’s reward is the opportunity to go one better than Edmondson and attempt to pop the Lapin cherry.
