Kelly retains his IBF world title thanks to a steady lead built in the beginning via his typical sharp and flashy work. When the champion was deducted a point in the sixth for a punch to the back of the head after being warned previously, Agyarko began to creep in, changing his approach enough to disrupt Kelly’s rhythm. It was a very watchable fight at its best, messy at its worst. Kelly ended up bloodied with what looks like a broken nose. Ultimately, his work in the beginning and a spirited final round kept him his belt. Agyarko may kick himself for pushing the pace a little late, but impresses in what was only his second 12-round fight.
