DILLIAN WHYTE and Joseph Parker came face-to-face today at the final press conference ahead of their heavyweight clash on Saturday (July 28) at the O2 Arena in London.

The hostility between the two fighters was not overt but they promised an explosive collision when they meet this weekend.

“Whatever he comes with I’ll be ready for it. Wherever he wants, I’ll be there. If he wants it long, rangy, if he wants it short, I’m good,” Whyte declared. “I’m ready to rock. Whatever they want.”

“If they want it, they can have it,” he concluded. “My prediction is pain. Pure pain.”

“I’m in great shape, there’s no excuses here,” said Joseph Parker. “I’m here to do damage. I’m here to punch with bad intentions. I’m going to break him down.”

“He’s going to take a lot of punches,” he continued. “I think some time smack talk is a sign of doubt. He needs to convince himself.

“He thinks I can’t go to war. Wait and see.”

Parker’s promoter David Higgins warned, “Joseph Parker has to fight Dillian Whyte and the officials.”

He added, “But guess what, I think he’s going to do it and I think he’s going to finish Dillian by knockout in round seven.”

Kevin Barry, Parker’s trainer, is expecting aggression from Whyte. “He’s going to be in our face,” Barry said. “I think this fight ends by knockout. I don’t see it going 12 rounds.”

“Dillian Whyte is going to take Joseph Parker to a level he’s never felt before,” Mark Tibbs, Whyte’s trainer responded. “We’re going to box-fight our way to a victory and it’s going to be a brutal victory.

“If he doesn’t come and bring, we’ll walk him down and stalk him down.”
