Joe Joyce fight time and where to watch it

Newly crowned Commonwealth heavyweight champion Joe Joyce has his only fifth professional contest this Friday (June 15) against Ivica Bacurin, a late replacement, at York Hall, Bethnal Green, live on Dave.

Here is all you need to know about Saturday nights event.

Rounds scheduled

12 three-minute rounds in the heavyweight division.

TV Coverage

The fight will be shown live on Dave. The show is due to start at 9pm.

Joe Joyce vs Ivica Bacurin

Joyce won his Commonwealth heavyweight title against Lenroy Thomas in May as he takes on 29-13-1 Bacurin, a much smaller man who has been halted by Carlos Takam, Tony Bellew and Dillian Whyte. This is Joyce’s fifth fight in eight months.

Sam ‘SJ’ Smith vs Anisha Basheel – Commonwealth Female lightweight title

Smith holds an 8-1 record with her only loss coming against for the UBF lightweight title. Malawian Basheel is 7-5 and last beat Consolata Musanga for the African Boxing Union super-featherweight title.

Jumanne Camero vs Michael Devine – Southern Area lightweight Title

Camero (6-2) won the title against David Birmingham in July 2017 but has yet to make a defence, the boxer takes on challenger Devine (16-5-1) a former Southern Area holder and WBA Continental title challenger.

Linus Udofia vs Eric Nwankwo – super-welterweight

Undefeated Udofia (8-0) who has competed at York Hall for all of his fights, takes on 1-1 Nigerian Nwankwo

Savannah Marshall

The former amateur star who became the UK’s first ever women’s amateur boxing world champion competes for the third time since debuting in August 2017. Her opponent will be Alejandra Ayala.
