Jaime Munguia vs Liam Smith – WBO super-welterweight world title
Munguia (39-0, 25 KOs) defends the title he won against Sadam Ali in May for the first time, while Smith (29-1-1, 14 KOs) looks to regain the same WBO belt he lost against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in September 2016. This is the second occasion Smith fights in the US having fought Canelo in Texas, while Munguia makes his third appearance on American soil competing in Mexico for the first 25 bouts of his career.
Alberto Machado vs Rafael Mensah – WBA super-featherweight title
Machado (19-0, 16 KOs) defends his WBA world title for the first time since winning it against Jezreel Corrales in October 2017, his opponent, Mensah (31-0, 23 KOs) is also undefeated however, the southpaw is fighting for the first time out Africa having competed in all but one fight in his native Ghana.
Yamaguchi Falcao vs Elias Espadas – Middleweight
Brazilian Falcao (15-0, 7 KOs) is a WBC Latino middleweight title holder while his opponent Mexican Espadas (17-3, 12 KOs) won the WBO Latino 160 lbs title in his last bout against Felipe Santos Pedroso in February.
Carlos Caraballo vs Jesus Martinez – Super-Bantamweight
Caraballo (7-0, 7 KOs) will look to keep up his 100 percent knockout ratio as he competes out of his Native Puerto Rico for the first time. The 23-year-old reportedly held a 143-14 amateur record and was set for the 2016 Rio Olympics until he signed a professional contract with countrymen and four-weight world champion Miguel Cotto.
