JACK CATTERALL will fight social media provocateur Ohara Davies at the Leicester Arena on October 6.

“I respect him as a fighter, he’s a good fighter but I see a lot of flaws. October 6 I’m coming to exploit them,” Catterall said. “We’ve all got weaknesses.”

Hopeful that their contest could be elevated into a world title eliminator, Catterall said, “These are the fights I want to be involved in.”

Davies was unexpectedly respectful. “Jack’s a really good fighter and it’s going to be a great fight,” he said calmly. “Today I want to be normal… I’ve got what I needed out of this game.

“I’ve played all of you guys. I’ve got your attention.”

Nicola Adams will be fighting for either an Interim or a world title on the bill. “I’m ready to go,” she said. “Hopefully come October 6 it’ll be my time.”

Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois will fight veteran Kevin Johnson, a 2015 victim of Anthony Joshua who knocked out Francesco Pianeta, Tyson Fury’s next opponent last year. “He’s got good credentials, he’s been in with pretty much everyone. I’m sure it’ll be a good challenge,” Dubois said. “I train very hard in the gym, I’m improving all the time as a fighter.

“I’ve still got a bit of time, a bit of learning to do. But I’m not far off at all.”

Frank Warren said, “It’s an exciting time to be a heavyweight and there are some great match ups to be made in the coming year.”

British super-featherweight champion Sam Bowen has signed with Frank Warren and will box on the bill and Archie Sharp and Leon Woodstock will be pitted against one another.
