THE opening show of the second season of the World Boxing Super Series will be available to watch in the UK. The World Boxing Super Series stream will be shown on their website HERE,Facebook page HERE and Youtube channel. At 12pm on Sunday (October 7) at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan Naoya Inoue will contest the first bantamweight WBSS quarter-final against Juan Carlos Payano.

“It is an honour for me to open the new WBSS season in my home country,” said Inoue. “My prediction for the fight? Victory!”

“It is not the first time I travel to my opponent’s backyard so it is not going to be a problem for me,” said the Dominican Republic’s Payano.

“I am looking forward to fighting in front of the Japanese fans and on Sunday Inoue will know who I am.”

The same bill will also see a super-lightweight World Boxing Super Series quarter-final as Kiryl Relikh fights Eduard Troyanovsky for the WBA world title. Belarus’ Relikh said, “Anything can happen on Sunday, a punch can change everything, but I feel confident in winning.”

His Russian opponent declared, ““It is a big honour and possibility for me to be a part of the World Boxing Super Series.

“I am looking forward to fighting Relikh on Sunday.”
