FORMER world title challenger Hassan N’dam N’jikam wants to fight Zach Parker on the undercard of the George Groves vs Callum Smith World Boxing Super Series final.

Parker is an impressive super-middleweight from Derbyshire, a powerful puncher who was the reserve on the Groves’ semi-final against Chris Eubank Jr.

N’jikam lost an IBF middleweight title fight to David Lemieux in 2015 but last year won a disputed decision over Olympic gold medallist Ryota Murata in Japan. Murata would avenge that and reclaim the WBA’s ‘regular’ world title.

The two could meet in an appealing crossroads clash. Victory would elevate the winner towards a shot at a world title or one of the high profile super-middleweights.

“He needs a decent fight, I think Parker would be a good fight for him,” N’jikam’s manager Charlie Sims told Boxing News. “The Hassan-Parker fight is a good fight.

“Hassan is looking for a way back in [to the top level] and I think to fight someone like Parker would be a great shout. I think Parker is a very, very good talent, I just don’t think he’s been in with anybody with any real experience.”
