FRIDAY night’s welterweight encounter between Harlem Eubank and Tyrone McKenna threatened to start a day early at today’s weigh-in.

After they both successfully came in inside the 147lbs limit the two men were brought together for a face-to-face by promoter Nisse Sauerland. As the seconds wore on, however, Eubank and McKenna moved closer and eventually made contact with their heads. With neither backing down and tempers beginning to flare security stepped in and pulled the fighters apart.

Eubank and McKenna top the bill at the Brighton Centre with four televised fights shown on Channel 5 from 9pm including the return of Michael Conlan.
