SUPER-MIDDLEWEIGHT contender George Groves will now be trained by Shane McGuigan.

The Londoner was originally guided by Adam Booth, but parted ways with him before teaming up with Paddy Fitszpatrick.

After being outpointed by WBC world champion Badou Jack in September, Groves split with Fitzpatrick and has subsequently joined McGuigan’s burgeoning stable.

His promoters, Team Sauerland, confirmed the news on social media.

It means Groves will once again train alongside David Haye, who also used to work with Booth but has since joined forces with McGuigan.

Groves faces Andrea Di Luise on January 30. More to follow.
