GEORGE GROVES’ opponent for the January 30 show at the Copper Box in Stratford has been announced. The Londoner will face Andrea Di Luisa.

The 33 year old Italian is 18-3 (14) and all three of his losses have come inside the distance. He retired against future Groves victim Christopher Rebrasse in 2012 and more recently Lucien Bute halted him in four rounds.

The Di Luisa will be Groves’ first fight since his third world title attempt. WBC champ Badou Jack outscored George in September and he famously lost twice to bitter rival Carl Froch.
