GARY CORCORAN is set for an unlikely world title shot, against Manny Pacquiao conqueror and WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn.
Corcoran is in training waiting for the contract to be finalised but is expected to travel to Australia for the fight. It’s a surprise opportunity for Corcoran who lost to Liam Williams in a British light-middleweight clash last year. In July Gary took a close decision over Larry Ekundayo to win a WBO Inter-Continental title. Now he gets a shot at the big time.
Quiet Australian Jeff Horn was a shock victor when he roughed up and won a decision against boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in Brisbane in July.
It was thought that Manny Pacquiao wanted a rematch with Horn but that will have to wait until next year.
