Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are finally set to square-off later this year, with 80,000 tickets for the event selling out within just one hour.
Now, one heavyweight, who has faced Fury three times, has revealed that he is picking Joshua to come out on top.
‘The Gypsy King’ has twice faced both John McDermott and Oleksandr Usyk, but shared a legendary heavyweight trilogy with Deontay Wilder; twice halting ‘The Bronze Bomber’ after a controversial draw in their initial encounter.
Fury has also participated in a less iconic three-fight series with Derek Chisora, whom he defeated on all three occasions as he claimed Chisora’s British title, then his European title, before successfully defending his WBC world title against ‘Del Boy’ in 2022.
Speaking to talkSPORT Boxing, Chisora looked ahead to Fury’s long-awaited meeting with ‘AJ’, but admitted that he fancies the latter to claim the victory and to do so ‘in style’.
“Anthony wins it and he wins it in style,
“Anthony’s going to knock Tyson Fury out. Everybody’s got their own choice. Tyson Fury is an amazing fighter, but you have to understand both fighters lost to Oleksandr Usyk.”
The 42-year-old heavyweight veteran then went on to predict that the fight will not go the distance, either way.
“I can guarantee you this. December 11 is going to be electric in Cardiff.
“Someone is getting knocked out.”
With fight fans now counting down to December, Chisora is also set to return to action before the end of the 2026; having recently announced a comeback where he will fight under the IBA banner in December – potentially against reigning WBA champion, Murat Gassiev.
