Frank Warren does not rule out a Conor Benn retirement after seeing ‘The Destroyer’ get “destroyed” in two rounds by Ryan Garcia.

Indeed, the 29-year-old appeared way out of his depth against the vastly superior Garcia, who displayed glaring advantages in speed and skill when they collided last weekend.

While many had predicted a stoppage victory for the WBC world champion, very few expected him to take care of business in such ruthless fashion.

In the second round, though, Garcia landed a crushing right hand that floored Benn, who managed to climb off the canvas but was ultimately stopped on his feet.

As a result, many have concluded that the Brit simply does not belong at world level, let alone near the upper echelon of a stacked welterweight division.

In fact, his clearest route to another lucrative payday could be via a trilogy clash with Chris Eubank Jr.

Speaking with IFL TV, however, Queensberry promoter Warren suggested that Benn’s best course of action might be to hang up his gloves.

“He got destroyed. [He was] never going to win the [Garcia] fight. It’s the same as Chris Eubank Jr – they’re at a certain level. And that’s it.

“If I was him, I’d retire. He’s not at [world] level. Good luck to him – he’s made a nice few quid in his last few fights.”

After losing their first middleweight encounter by unanimous decision in April 2025, Benn ended up scoring a dominant points victory over Eubank later that year.
