Frank Buglioni looks forward to Callum Johnson British title defence

What do you think of Callum Johnson?

I can see some chinks in his armour… I’m excited I’m confident.

I’ve looked at a lot of his fights. I knew him from the amateur days so I know what potentially his best could be. If he comes in tip top shape, the best of his career and performs to the best of his ability, it’s still not going to be good enough. That is the bottom line. I’m coming in in the best form of my life, I’m hitting hard with both hands again. I feel very fit, very strong. I’ve had that match fitness and that sharpness.

What type of fight are you expecting it to be?

He doesn’t have a great workrate. He opts for power shots, he tries to feel out with the jab but carries a low left hand but when he does trade and let his hands go, his hands stay around shoulder level. He’s dangerous if you stand there in front of him and put your chin out. If you opt to box and fight on the right terms, it’s not going to be a problem.

I’m really looking forward to going out there and showing what I can do.

I don’t look too far ahead but I’ll keep improving, I’ll keep winning my fights and I’ll take the opportunities as and when they come.
