FLOYD MAYWEATHER will not entertain talk of a potential clash with UFC star Conor McGregor – for now.
Floyd is currently in the UK, where his protege Gervonta Davis defends his IBF super-featherweight title against Liam Walsh this weekend.
McGregor recently confirmed that he has signed his side of a deal to fight Mayweather in a boxing match, but when queried on the bout Mayweather remained coy.
As of right now, everything is on hold. My focus is Saturday night,” he told BT Sport last night.
“I want to make sure ‘Tank’ [Davis] goes out there and does what he has to do. We want him to stay focused, and I can only focus on one task at a time. Right now I’m focused on ‘Tank’ going out there and getting the victory.”

However, earlier this week Davis revealed that Mayweather had in fact been training and running with him several times, though when probed over whether his mentor and promoter will fight McGregor, he simply responded with a knowing smile.
