WITH many people split down the middle for the Errol Spence Jr-Terence Crawford super-fight the Texan believes there are several factors which will determine the outcome.

On July 29 The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will stage one of the biggest fights this year so far when the two best fighters in the welterweight division collide in a monumental showdown.

Spence has already compared this fight with putting two pit bulls in the same cage together but what will eventually separate the winner and the loser.

Prior to a recent virtual presser, the 33-year-old answered questions from Showtime’s Brian Custer including what it all will come down to on the night.

“I think it’ll boil down to grit, determination, focus,” Spence answered.

“Who in their mind can stand the most punishment, going through different highs and lows in the fight because I believe there will be highs and lows in the fight. Whoever can adapt, whoever can impose themselves on the opponent is going to win the fight.”

So far in the build-up one talking point has been Crawford’s boxing abilities from switch-hitting to the power he possesses and how that could give him an advantage. Spence brushed off the hype with the type of answer we’ve become used to from the southerner in recent weeks.

“Fighters way more gifted than him have been beat before. I’ve beat gifted athletes and I’ve seen gifted athletes get beat before. I feel I can beat any fighter. Doesn’t matter about skillset. I feel I can impose my style and break them.”
