YVON MICHEL and Kathy Duva couldn’t get a deal done to make Adonis Stevenson-Sergey Kovalev, but they’re going to meet at the negotiating table again.
The promoters accepted on behalf of their fighters, Eleider Alvarez and Isaac Chilemba, an eliminator ordered by the WBC to determine the No. 1 contender to light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (also promoted by Michel). The sides will negotiate, and if a deal can’t be made, a purse bid will be ordered by the WBC.
