DILLIAN WHYTE has revealed he could be set to meet Bermane Stiverne in a final eliminator for the WBC world heavyweight title currently held by Deontay Wilder.

The Brixton slugger outpointed Dereck Chisora in one of the best fights of the year earlier this month, in what was a regular WBC eliminator.

Stiverne was scheduled to face Alexander Povetkin for the right to become WBC mandatory challenger but rightfully walked away from the fight when the Russian failed a drug test.

With both Stiverne and Whyte holding lofty rankings with the WBC, the organisation could potentially order the pair to fight each other to determine a mandatory challenger.

Stiverne previously held the WBC title before Wilder dethroned him in 2015. Wilder is hoping for a February return to the ring after recovering from injuries he suffered in his last fight, a stoppage win over Chris Arreola.

Aside from a potential fight with Stiverne, Whyte could also be looking at a rematch with Chisora. Their first meeting was enthralling from start to finish and there are plenty who felt Dereck deserved the tight decision.
