WBO welterweight ruler Devin Haney sits as one of boxing’s best talents but ‘The Dream’ is looking to improve on his pound-for-pound ranking by putting an end to the undefeated records of two world-class operators.

After claiming world titles at both lightweight and super-lightweight, Haney made his welterweight debut against Brian Norman Jr back in November, where he put together one of the performances of the year to dethrone his fellow American.

Now, with a number of boxing’s biggest names set to migrate to 147lbs, Haney will have the opportunity to prove himself as the standout operator in the division and become one of the faces of the sport.

One of those names is former WBO lightweight world champion Keyshawn Davis, who called for a clash with Haney after his victory over Jamaine Ortiz on Saturday night, on the undercard of Shakur Stevenson’s dominant triumph over Teofimo Lopez.

On X, Haney responded to the call-out and revealed his willingness to first take on ‘The Businessman’ and to then collide with Stevenson in what he believes to be ‘the biggest fight in boxing’.

“Me & Shakur is the next biggest fight in boxing! I want him & Keyshawn. Little bro then big bro!”

Haney has also offered Manny Pacquiao a shot at the world title, with the Filipino icon keen to break his own record as the oldest ever welterweight world champion but unable to agree a deal to face WBA titleholder Rolando Romero.

Instead, Romero is expected to take on mandatory challenger Shakhram Giyasov, although Conor Benn is waiting in the wings in case the Uzbek agrees to a step aside deal.
