UNSTOPPABLE heavyweight duo Derek Chisora and Jarrell Miller are set to clash in Manchester in the new year. Originally in the works for January, it now appears February 8 is the chosen date for this potentially epic rumble of huff-and-puff sluggers.

Chisora is 40 years old and has 13 losses on his record. However, his ability to bounce back from adversity, both during fights and out of the ring, means he is still receiving opportunities. ‘Del Boy’ was last seen fighting in late July 2024, defeating Joe Joyce over 10 rounds, in what some considered an upset victory.

Miller, meanwhile, has been busy rehabilitating his own reputation following a series of PED misdemeanours. ‘Big Baby’ returned in August with a credible majority draw against former unified world champion Andy Ruiz. One of the three judges even scored the fight in his favour by eight rounds to four.

This should be a fun scrap until both men inevitably tire out and then it will become even more entertaining. Miller is a durable unit who can fight at a stern pace. It took Daniel Dubois, for all of his power-punching exploits, until round 10 to break down and finally dispatch the Brooklyn brawler.

Chisora’s untameable spirit and body punching tactics could see Miller fade down the stretch. Only the better fighters stop Chisora, as proven by Tyson Fury, David Haye and Dillian Whyte, but his seemingly endless reserves must be close to depleting soon.
