Deontay Wilder is set to fight in the UK for the first time since 2013.

The former WBC World Heavyweight Champion has suffered four defeats in his last six, losing his belt to Tyson Fury in 2020, failing to win it back a year later and subsequently being bested by both Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.

The two wins in that mix – stoppages over Robert Helenius and Tyrell Herndon – did little to convince fans that ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is still his old, explosive self, however a desire to fight on has found him linked with some of the division’s biggest names in 2026.

First off, that was unified champion Oleksandr Usyk, who expressed his interest in facing the American to beat every big name of his era. Though the pair entered talks, Wilder quickly moved on to Derek Chisora, and they have now confirmed the fight will take place, pending a promotional announcement.

On X, Chisora posted a clip of a video call with Wilder in which he showed him the signed contract. The two heavyweights shared their excitement at the clash, reportedly set for London on April 4.

The event is understood to be promoted by Kalle Sauerland under the Misfits Pro banner, though Frank Warren recently told IFL TV that he still has a contract with Chisora, who fought and beat Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin in his last two bouts with the Hall of Fame promoter. So, despite Del Boy’s enthusiasm and announcement, there may still be hurdles to clear.
