BRITISH heavyweight David Haye will return to the sport in 2016, announcing that he will box Australia’s Mark De Mori on January 16 at The O2 in London.

Haye, a world champion at both cruiser and heavyweight, has fought reigning world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko but hasn’t competed since winning a grudge match with Dereck Chisora in 2012.

Haye will be without long-time trainer Adam Booth, his new coach will be Carl Frampton’s trainer Shane McGuigan.

Haye said, “I’ve a new team, new look and new inspiration to achieve my goals. I’ve always set the bar high in my career and I will continue to do so. Please sit back and get ready for another fun-fuelled heavyweight campaign to the very top.”
