On Saturday night, Derek Chisora takes to the ring for the final time, hoping to secure a victory over Deontay Wilder in his farewell fight.

Ahead of the action, fellow British fan-favourite heavyweight Dave Allen has provided his prediction, where he believes a stoppage is on the cards.

Talk of a fight between ‘Del Boy’ and Wilder was swiftly shut down a few years back, with fight fans believing that the devastating power of the American could make for an ugly ending to the career of beloved veteran, Chisora.

However, 43-year-old Chisora has strung together three victories since his unsuccessful challenge for Tyson Fury’s heavyweight title, whilst Wilder has noticeably declined after his trilogy with ‘The Gypsy King’.

As a result, it is Chisora that enters the contest as the favourite, expected to call time on his career with an arguable career-best triumph this weekend.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Allen agreed with the opinion of the bookmakers, and expects Chisora to get the job done in the first six rounds.

“For me, I think it comes down to, when you have got two fellas at that age, with that many miles on the clock, who has got the most left – and I think that it is Derek Chisora.

“If Wilder hits harder than Chisora then that is scary. A lot of people say that he is the biggest puncher in the division but I fancy Chisora to land a big one first.

“I don’t think that Wilder can do it anymore, I don’t think that he has got it. I don’t think that he has got the same speed, tenacity, I don’t think that he has the same desire to really put it on someone. I don’t think that he could if he wanted to anymore.”

“His time is up, I think, and I think that Chisora will stop him. My prediction is Chisora in six [rounds].”

Wilder-Chisora takes place at the O2 Arena this Saturday, with the event being available to purchase and watch live via DAZN PPV.
