Terence Crawford is anticipating the return of Gervonta Davis, who he believes should jump straight into the deep end and face one of his long-time rivals.
The 31-year-old has not fought since March 2025, when he retained his WBA lightweight title following a controversial draw with Lamont Roach.
Back then, many felt Roach was wrongfully denied his crowning moment after a no-knockdown call in round nine allowed Davis to remain world champion.
The American was then expected to rematch Roach later that year, before an exhibition match with Jake Paul was scheduled for November.
Neither fight materialised, however, as Tank was charged with domestic violence and has been inactive ever since, despite rumours of his potential comeback emerging every so often.
Even now, the future of his career remains uncertain but, regardless, Crawford has taken to social media and expressed his interest in a long-awaited showdown between Davis and Shakur Stevenson.

Nevertheless, Stevenson has consistently faced top-level opponents and managed to become a four-division world champion by dethroning Teofimo Lopez in January.
Coming off that dominant points victory, the 29-year-old then inked a deal with Zuffa Boxing promoter Dana White, with reports suggesting that his next outing will be against Manny Pacquiao on December 11.
Understandably, the majority of fans would rather not see him face the 47-year-old Filipino, while a potential clash with Davis is still, arguably, the biggest fight that can be made in boxing.
