TOMORROW’S (August 26) all-Australian junior-middleweight battle between former WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn and highly touted up-and-comer Tim Tszyu seemingly had enough spice and drama already without a weigh-in dispute then adding to it.

But that is exactly what happened when Horn first turned up late and then his manager, Glenn Rushton, felt moved to let reporters know there are conflicts of interest involving two of the judges and Tszyu.

According to Rushton, Tszyu, in preparation for the bout, trained at a gym owned by judge Chris Condon, a man Rushton also claimed was once a cornerman for Tim’s legendary father, Kostya. As well as this, Rushton alleged that judge Phil Holiday has been heard saying Tszyu will win on cuts.

Both judges will still be working the fight as of now.

Meanwhile, Horn weighed 153.4 lbs (69.6kg) and Tszyu weighed 152.3 lbs (69.1kg). They meet tomorrow for the IBF Australasian and WBO global junior-middleweight titles at the Bank Stadium, Townsville, Queensland, Australia.
