MIDDLEWEIGHT rivals Chris Eubank Jnr and Billy Joe Saunders will both box at Wembley Arena on May 9. It won’t be a rematch though as they’ll take on different opponents. Eubank will box Australia’s Les Sherrington. The opposition for Saunders is still to be confirmed. After May 9 Billy Joe expects to get his shot at the winner of the April 11 WBO world title fight between Andy Lee and Peter Quillin later on this year.
A rematch between Eubank and Saunders is however brewing. “It’s a fight the public want to see,” Chris said. “Everyone wants to see the rematch. There are so many question marks.”
“You’ve got to wait until I’ve won the world title and I’m good and ready for it,” Saunders snapped back. “I boxed to orders and I beat you. Next time I’ll box to more orders and beat you again.”
