Heavyweight veteran and domestic fan-favourite Derek Chisora has shared his prediction for a Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua showdown.

Fury scored a first win since 2023 when he decisioned Russia’s Arslanbek Makhmudov in a comfortable victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London this past weekend, utilising his flicking jab and landing uppercuts at will throughout the 12-round affair.

In the aftermath, ‘The Gypsy King’ made his intentions clear, singling Joshua out of the crowd and demanding that their years-long feud finally be settled. Joshua seemed unwilling to dance to his tune – refusing to publicly agree to the fight without further negotiation.

Joshua may want to return for a relative ‘warm-up’ first in order to best prepare for the most high-profile contest of his iconic career, but he did not rule out going straight into the Fury fight.

Chisora advised against any additional delay in an interview with talkSPORT, before predicting a win for ‘AJ’.

“They both have to get it on. We are tired of just waiting and waiting, man. Them two, it’s like me talking to a bird and taking her out on 25 dates before I get laid. For f*** sake, I am tired of waiting for this fight.

“My boy ‘AJ’ [wins].”

With Fury saying he has already signed for the fight, and showing little interest in any other opponents other than perhaps a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk, the ball seems firmly in ‘AJ’s court.
