Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin fight time and where to watch it

THE time has come. Saturday, September 16 sees Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin, one of the best fights that can be made in the sport, take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Golovkin comes to the ring with the WBA, WBC and IBF world middleweight titles, although Canelo has said he will not accept the WBC belt. Regardless of which belts the victor walks away with, this contest will surely decide who the best boxer in the world today is.

Two-time Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams will also star on the undercard.

Where to watch it

The event will be televised on HBO pay-per-view in the USA, with programming due to begin at 5pm PT, 8pm ET.

In the UK the fight is available to BoxNation subscribers (who do not need to pay extra) and also as a one off on BoxNation pay-per-view. Programming starts at 1am in the UK.

It’s quite the weekend to be a boxing fan. You can take in the early bouts from the undercard of the Copperbox show in London at 7pm on BoxNation. Then on ITV 4 at 7.45pm the Callum Smith vs Erik Skoglund show begins. The Billy Joe Saunders vs Willie Monroe Jr main event is expected to start much later between 11pm and midnight and can be watched on BoxNation and BT Sport 1.
