Hall of Famer Tim Bradley believes a welterweight clash between Conor Benn and WBC world champion Ryan Garcia ends in emphatic fashion.

The pair are in talks to collide later this year, while Garcia has also mentioned the possibility of rematching WBA world champion Rolando Romero.

Their first encounter, in May 2025, saw Romero claim a unanimous decision victory after flooring his man in the second round.

Since then, though, Garcia has secured the WBC title at 147lbs after dethroning Mario Barrios, who he dropped and unanimously outpointed in February.

This represents the 27-year-old’s first victory since 2023, when he scored an eighth-round stoppage over Oscar Duarte before entering his controversial showdown with Devin Haney.

Despite edging a majority decision over Haney, this result in April 2024 was ruled a no-contest after ‘King Ry’ tested positive for banned substance ostarine.

Benn, too, failed a drugs test in 2022 ahead of his cancelled contest against Chris Eubank Jr, who he eventually outpointed in their middleweight rematch last November.

This followed a points defeat to Eubank in April 2025, though Benn remained in the win column earlier this month as he outpointed Regis Prograis, who subsequently announced his retirement.

But despite fighting at a catchweight of 150lbs in his last outing, the 29-year-old is now looking to leverage his No.1 WBC ranking and lock horns with Garcia.

Speaking with ESNEWS, former two-weight world champion Bradley has given Benn little more than a prayer against Garcia.

“Ryan knocks him out.”

As the WBC’s leading welterweight contender, Benn is expected to be ordered for his shot against Garcia in the not too distant future, even if their ongoing negotiations collapse.
