December 2: After being shortlisted for the Sports Personality of the Year award, Tyson Fury promptly issued a message to the BBC asking them to take him off the list. “Please take me off your list as I’m the people’s champion and have no need for verification or any awards. I know who I am and what I’ve done in sport. I have the love of the people,” he said.

December 2: Tyson Fury has been shortlisted for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2020. Alongside Stuart Broad (Cricket), Hollie Doyle (Horse Racing), Lewis Hamilton (F1), Jordan Henderson (Football) and Ronnie O’Sullivan (Snooker), Fury will vie for the public vote live on Dec 20.

December 2: Matchroom announced that 1,000 fans will be in attendance for Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev at The SSE Arena, Wembley on December 12, following approval for a crowd from local authorities. Strict safety measures and guidelines will be in place. “I can’t tell you how happy I am to see fans returning to our live boxing events,” said Eddie Hearn. “Whilst the team have done an incredible job over the last 10 months we live and breathe through the energy and atmosphere that a live crowd generates.”
