FOR the first time in Boxing News’ history, our readers have been given the opportunity to vote for their preferred magazine cover.
A social media post has just gone live, encouraging anyone – preferably those with a keen eye for detail – to help determine the colourway of our upcoming issue.
With next week’s magazine offering a list of the most influential individuals in boxing, too, it only makes sense that we place the power in your hands.
Due to last year’s success, we have, indeed, decided to bring back our iconic Power List, counting down 50 of the sport’s busiest movers and shakers in a one-of-a-kind feature.
Naturally, a series of contentious discussion points arrived shortly after our previous list was revealed, with members of the boxing fraternity engaging in fierce debates over who should be placed higher or lower.
This time around, we expect the response to be no different, especially when considering the sport’s ever-changing landscape which, more often than not, will generate a diverse range of opinions.
That level of subjectivity, however, is something which should only be celebrated, and not silenced, in the turbulent world of boxing.
But before unveiling our latest Power List, we must first finalise next week’s magazine cover which, later today, will be selected from two possible options
“Our readers and followers are extremely important to us, and The Power List is a key issue in the Boxing News calendar,” said Nick Bond, Boxing News’ Head of Design.
“To mark the occasion, we’re excited to involve our readers and followers in the creative process by giving them the chance to choose the cover that resonates most with them.
“It’s a way to celebrate their input, make them feel part of the journey, and ensure that our magazine reflects the unique perspectives of the Boxing News community.”
