Having previously struggled to select a winner between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, Tony Bellew has now given a definitive prediction for their clash on December 11.

The two British heavyweights will finally square off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, where it is reported that they are set to collide for the WBA ‘super’ title.

If this proves to be accurate, then the winner will become a three-time world champion while also claiming a satisfying victory over his long-time rival.

As for the fight itself, many have made Fury a sizable favourite on account of him unanimously outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov and stopping Mariusz Wach in seven rounds.

While neither performance was particularly outstanding, he nonetheless defeated both opponents with relative ease whereas Joshua, against Kristian Prenga, was made to survive two first-round knockdowns in July.

The 36-year-old did manage to stop his man in the following round but, with his punch resistance plunged into doubt, many feel that he could fall victim to a Fury stoppage.

Former world champion Bellew, however, has told Fight Your Corner that he backs Joshua to win by knockout, given that he remains one of the heavyweight division’s most devastating punchers.

The Liverpudlian has previously expressed less certainty, admitting that Fury could win on points, but has now seemingly decided that ‘AJ’ is too powerful for his fellow Brit.

This follows their rather cordial press conference on Wednesday, when both fighters showed genuine respect while Fury, who has previously been labelled as the master of mind games, seemed uninterested in even attempting to get under Joshua’s skin.
