SPECULATION is rife over who Anthony Joshua will fight next after his dramatic win against Wladimir Klitschko at the weekend, and the bookmakers have installed three firm favourites.
Klitschko, WBC champion Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev are all 3/1 favourites with Betway to be Joshua’s next foe.
Klitschko has a rematch clause which he can envoke if he so chooses after his valiant defeat at the hands of Joshua, who rose from the canvas to stop him in the 11th round of their Wembley Stadium encounter.
He is yet to make a decision, but the 41-year-old hinted at a return on social media yesterday and after the fight admitted he could have done more when he had Joshua in dire straits.
Wilder was ringside at Wembley and his seemingly desperate for a unification fight with WBA and IBF champion Joshua. The outspoken American does not have his next fight confirmed and while a mandatory defence against former victim Bermane Stiverne looms, he could secure a mouth-watering collision with ‘AJ’ later in the year.
Pulev cemented his position as the IBF mandatory challenger by dominating Kevin Johnson on the same night Joshua defeated Klitschko. Joshua will need to fight the Bulgarian if he wants to keep his red and gold strap.
“With many heavyweights queueing up to face Anthony Joshua, we make WBC Champion Deontay Wilder 3/1 joint favourite to face the Brit next in a mega unification fight,” Betway’s Alan Alger said.
“Elsewhere, mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev or a rematch with Klitschko at the same odds seem viable options for AJ, and a domestic dust-up with David Haye isn’t out of the question at 5/1.”

WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker fights this weekend, having almost met Joshua last year, and is another huge option for the unbeaten Londoner.
With so many tantalising – and challenging – options ahead of him, Joshua also faces the very real prospect of having his unbeaten record ruined. Betway have even floated odds on when that might happen.
