ANTHONY JOSHUA will fight on November 26 with a venue and opponent yet to be confirmed.

The IBF world heavyweight champion, who has been in Rio to support Team GB’s boxers at the Olympics, revealed the fight date on the BBC’s broadcast yesterday.

His promoter, Eddie Hearn, confirmed the date but also stated that Joshua would not be boxing at his O2 Arena fortress in London.

“November 26 is the date for your diary. We are changing city. The opponent and venue will be confirmed in the next few weeks,” he told Sky Sports.

Joshua has fought his last five contests at the O2, winning the Commonwealth, British and IBF titles in that time. The 26-year-old is coming off of a seventh-round stoppage of Dominic Breazeale in June.

A few weeks ago Hearn stated there were three names in the mix for Joshua; Kubrat Pulev, Bermane Stiverne and Joseph Parker.

Parker, Joshua’s mandatory challenger, is set to fight Alexander Dimitrenko on October 1 while negotiations for his shot at ‘AJ’ must begin in November, according to the IBF.

Liverpool’s David Price has also thrown his hat into the ring, recently claiming that he floored Joshua in sparring a few years ago.

Pulev and Stiverne do not yet have fights scheduled and the latter, a former WBC world champion, insists he has begun training just in case he does get the call.

Joshua is also being groomed to fight abroad, more specifically in America after signing a multi-fight deal with broadcast giants Showtime.
